NEW YEAR

The holidays are over, I hope you all had a great time with friends and family.

Can't quite grasp the concept myself, but it’s now 2012, last year was a great year with yet another release, “GRAVITY & TIME” and the opportunity to produce Christine Salazar with her debut release, “ON TO SOMETHING”. Both projects are on sale with CD BABY, ITUNES and always at our shows.

This year the goal is to get the music out there in our region more and we are happy to have found a new listening venue through veteran player, singer/songwriter Kevin Jones who graciously turned us onto the RENDEZVOUS WINE & BREW in Enumclaw. We look forward to working the room and exploring more options as the month moves on. But, we are also looking forward to our main stay, THE UNION SQUARE DELI & THE ROBIN HOOD RESTRUANT AND PUB in beautiful downtown UNION.

I will also be booking some solo gigs this year as well as duo, trio and quintet gigs with Keith Pasculli and Lance DeMers, as well as our friends Kevin Veatch on guitar and Ed Bates playing keys.

Also there is movement with POOR JUDGMENT, which seems to rotate between Larry Dewey on guitar, Chele Shepard on vocals and accordion and joining us on vocals and percussion, Suzanne St Peters. Steve Harrold, my great friend and bass player and I are also working a bit with guitarist and harmonica player Steve Madsen. So the ever-continuing evolving line up with this group continues on. We are also attempting to get this sound out to other market areas.
We all hope you had good holidays and that life is treating you well. Remember to take time for you, your dream and never-I mean never give up on those dreams. What is the sense of all this that we have to endure without our dreams?

Thanks to all you who have given my music and musical family a chance this past year or in this coming year.

HOLIDAYS

Here's wishing you the best over the holiday season. It has been a great year with the release of both Christine Salazar's, "ON TO SOMETHING" and my new release, "GRAVITY & TIME". We had a few great shows over the past sixty days or so with the best saved for last at our favorite venue, The Union Square Deli, with Barney McClure and five other players, a great evening. The house was brought down a few times, but when my grand daughter, Skye came up and did a tune with me, the house caved in. She's my doodle.

POOR JUDGMENT, my alter ego with my partner in crime, bassist STEVE HARROLD has grown and is taking off again with LARRY DEWEY coming aboard and now Larry has brought CHELE SHEPARD and SUZANNE into the mix with tasty vocals, percussion and accordion. This group has become a very fun vehicle and I am looking forward to exploiting it this coming year.

Now that the season is upon us, I would invite you to visit Christine's and my web sites or CD Baby for our music and for up coming shows in the future and remember the gift of music keeps giving.

I want to thank all of you who have supported the TRIO and now the BAND. I really appreciate all of your support. Special thanks for the guys that assist me in my love of this thing I do, James Newman, Keith Pasculli, Lance DeMers, Ed Bates, Kevin Veatch and Barney McClure.

We are forging ahead in 2012 with new venues, new areas and new music. I wish for all of you the joy of the season and the love of family and friends.

New Release, "Gravity&Time"

The new work is completed and released - a very long process this time around with producing another artist in the midst of recording "Gravity & Time", but well worth the effort. The trio has now expanded to a quintet with the addition of Kevin Veatch on guitar and Ed Bates on keyboards and we are off to a good start with two shows this weekend. The work will be going out to publications in the next few weeks for review. Our next show here in the Puget Sound area will be with the rest of the recording folks; Barney McClure on piano and Hammond B3 as well as Josephine Howell, a wonderful singer, both added greatly to the work.

Fall is upon us and though I'm busy, I'm not sure the change in weather is welcomed, I already miss the long and warmer days.

GRAVITY & TIME

I just returned home from a ten-day trip to the UK with my grand daughter Skye, where a wonderful time was had with family and friends. While over there I had the opportunity to work on my good friend Gerry Cooper's new project. He is working with producer Phil Snell and it was a kick to not only be included, but to work with them both. I added backing vocals to two of Cooper's tunes. I have a feeling Cooper's CD is going to be a break out disc for him.

I went back to work on the new work this week with meetings to finalize the final mix of "Gravity & Time" with mates DeMers and Pasculli and back in studio for final mix and mastering over the next week and a half. The product should be off for duplication shortly after September rolls in. Vince Peddle has the artwork on the run, will meet with him this coming week to wrap that up. The work has taken time, but has been worth the effort as it sounds pretty darn good.

We are going to be doing two CD release shows locally, the first on October 14th at the Island Center Music performance hall and then at our home base on November 12th at the Union Square Deli. Jazz legend, Barney McClure will be joining for the November show and will be featured on piano and Hammond B3. I have heard and known of McClure for over thirty years and now to not only have him working of the disc, but to be working on stage with him is really exciting and a bit beyond comprehension. Barney is not only a great player, but also an all around good soul that brings great energy to us all.

On To Something and Gravity & Time

So happy to announce that Christine Salazar's debut CD, "On To Something", is on it's way to us, it should be arriving around the 27th of this month. Christine is an amazing writer, singer and force, this disc will prove that. I was very honored that she entrusted me with the task producing and sorting out the vibe, direction and sounds for her work. All the musicians that assisted in this project were a pleasure to work with and assisted so greatly to the tunes. James Newman at RHR Studios was with me every step of the way, a huge tip of the hat and thank you goes out to him. Christine is one of those artists that is hard to label as she writes in many styles of music, but one thing for sure no matter which direction she's going, it's bound to be artistic and just plain good listening. "Gravity & Time", my new work is in final mix and headed toward mastering. James and I were hoping to have it completed by the end of July, but time takes time, it should be ready for duplication at the end of August. I am very happy with what we have accomplished on the tunes and look forward to completion of this work.

I have a couple of remaining shows with the trio: Keith Pasculli and Lance DeMers before heading off to the UK for a bit of a holiday and some work for a couple of weeks, but look forward to returning to complete the work and begin discussions concerning CD release parties with Barney McClure and hopefully the Total Experince Gospel Choir.

The Antlers of Poor Judgment have now cemented Larry Dewey as a member of the group along with myself and my dear friend, bass player, Steve Harrold. We are looking forward to playing more and just having a great time. Our last couple of shows together have just been too much fun, magical and musical, so I am also looking forward to the coming fall with many more shows with this group.

GRAVITY & TIME

After a marathon winter of recording two projects at the same time it is great to be able to say Christine Salazar's, "ON TO SOMETIHING", which is an amazing collection of tunes is in mix and after mastering is ready to be heard and supported. Christine's work is currently under way with art work and the hope is for a late June release.

The other project recorded is my new work,"GRAVITY & TIME", which is finally in mix and will consist of some of my tunes, "Rembrandt Light", "Try Not To Rust", "My Shore", Quarter Heart Time", "Where Does Love Go", "Under The Covers" an instrumentatl, "Barbara's Garden"work as well as covers, Dlyan's, "Ballad of Hollis Brown", John Martyn's, "Sweet Little Mystery" and Ron Davies, "Somebody's Watchin". The work has been long, but rewarding and is supported by Barney McClure, piano/Hammond, Mike Nelson on slide guitar, Mike Derzon on harmonica and mandolin, Richard Carpenter and Caitlin Olive on violins, Kevin Veatch on guitar & keys, Ed Bates on keys, James Newman, Keith Pasculli on bass, Lance DeMers on drums and percussion. The greatest contributor to the project was my nine year grand daughter Skye Marie Anderson on percussion and a great vocal with grandpa. I can not wait to share both projects with you on this site in the very near future.

The winter was long, the spring has been cold and summer appears to be taking it's sweet time. I am feeling very secure in the path I'm on and wishing you all the best on yours.
