Beautiful times

August 8, 2010
Rain in the distance, suns beginning to poke its head out, the world keeps turning, my head, heart & amp; feet are on the ground.
Busy period right now with producing another artist and my own project, both are shaping up just fine though. Christine Salazar’s project is just amazing, this young lady can write with the best of them. What a great opportunity this has been to watch an artist grow.
Lance DeMers, long time drummer/percussionist for Phil Keaggy has been working both projects as Keith Pasculli & Steve Harrold are on bass, all are great players and genuinely nice fellows. After spending time with other great players in the past it is wonderful to be back amongst like-minded fellows who have only the music as their agenda. Mr. Mike Derzon, will be joining the fray on trumpet, mandolin & vocals as well as a few other cats coming in by the end of this month for some solo, shimmering work on “Trauma, Drama & Poor Judgment”.
I am off on August 13, 2010 with my grand daughter, Skye, for a holiday to parts unknown…. well actually they are known, we’re headed for the high plains, bison, prairie dogs, cowboys, cowgirls and a really good pair of cowgirl boots & a cowgirl hat. She also just started riding a bike with out training wheels, so I can almost certainly guarantee a few band-aids will be applied; with ice for sprains and sore muscles… all that is for grandpa.
Be well out there, continue the good work you’ve begun, count your blessing, breath deep-as the rest of it is smoke & mirrors, thank God the leak in the gulf has stopped, turn off your TV…it’s unhealthy, pray for the children in Haiti, take care of your heart, tell someone you don’t know hello and the ones you do know - tell them you love them, life is too short…Cheers, CBA
